About the Role
As a dSPACE HIL Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems used in the development and validation of automotive Electronic control units (ECUs). You will work closely with cross-functional teams including HIL Model developers, software developers, and test engineers to ensure that HIL systems meet project requirements and deadlines.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and deploy dSPACE Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems for the testing and validation of automotive electronic control units (ECUs).
Develop and maintain HIL test environments, including the HIL setup Commissioning, procuring related hardware components, Electrical wiring setup, Communication lines setup etc.
Collaborate with software engineers to implement updates, patches, and configuration changes to HIL system software, ensuring compatibility with simulation models and adherence to project requirements.
Proactively identify opportunities for enhancing HIL system reliability, efficiency, and usability, proposing, and implementing improvements such as hardware upgrades, process optimizations, or workflow enhancements.
Document HIL system configurations, test procedures, and results following company standards.
Provide training and technical support to HIL system users, including engineers, technicians, and test operators, to ensure proper operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures are understood and followed.
Requirements: Must List
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of proven experience working with dSPACE HIL systems in Automotive.
Mastery of dSPACE hardware and software tools such as ControlDesk, AutomationDesk, ConfigurationDesk, and TargetLink for configuring and operating HIL systems effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting issues encountered during HIL testing and for devising effective solutions to complex technical challenges using diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical documentation.
Script development e.g. Python and/or CAPL
Experience in CANalyzer and CANOE
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities with the willingness to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Good to have
Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink will be an added advantage.
Understanding automotive systems, components, and architectures is beneficial for comprehending the context in which HIL testing is conducted and for interpreting test results effectively.
Experience with software development in C.
Experience in Continuous Integration with tools such as GIT/Gerrit.
